Hannah and Alistair’s wedding at The Barn in Waimauku was a breathtaking celebration that beautifully married natural charm with heartfelt moments. As one of my favourite venues, it offers a rustic, bohemian ambiance that made their day truly unforgettable.

Nestled amidst towering pine trees, the ceremony unfolded in an enchanted forest clearing—soft whispers of wind through the branches accompanied every vow. The reception followed in the airy, open-sided barn, where long grasses swayed just outside, and playful Highlander cows grazed nearby—a wonderfully unexpected touch for both charm and photos.

Ample photo opportunities abounded: the old train track, lush trees, tall grasses, and, just 15 minutes away, the sweeping coastline of Muriwai Beach created cinematic scenes for portraits. Plus, the freedom to bring in your own catering and alcohol offered a relaxed, personalized experience that kept the focus on connection, not logistics.

With over 200 guests, Hannah and Alistair pulled off an epic, beautifully curated gathering. Every detail—from venue setup to guest experience—felt intentional and full of heart.
