Correy & Amelia’s Whimsical Bridgerton Wedding at Mantells Mt Eden

Some weddings feel like stepping into another world, and Correy and Amelia’s day at Mantells Mt Eden was exactly that. From the moment they first shared their vision with me — whimsical, romantic, and inspired by Bridgerton — I knew this wedding was going to be unforgettable. With Correy also being a photographer, he understood exactly how to bring their dream to life, and I felt so lucky to capture their celebration alongside such a talented team.

A Love Story Born in Lockdown

Like many modern romances, Correy and Amelia’s love story began during one of life’s most unexpected moments — the Covid lockdowns. While the world slowed down, they found themselves becoming each other’s support system. When New Zealand eased into Level 2, Correy asked Amelia out on their first date.

They spent the day talking about everything — family, childhood, careers, feelings, and passions. Their date ended with a windswept hike up Mt Eden, where they snapped their very first selfie together. It was on that day Correy sent Amelia a message that would shape their future: “I’d like to see you again.” Amelia said yes — the first of many yeses to come.

A Whimsical Celebration

When the wedding day finally arrived, Mantells Mt Eden became the perfect canvas for their Bridgerton-inspired vision. From delicate details to romantic styling, the day was filled with elegance and whimsy. Their first look took place at both The Pah Homestead and Mantells, giving them time to savour the anticipation before walking down the aisle.

The formal ceremony reflected their commitment and their shared love of timeless romance, while the reception brought their whimsical Bridgerton theme to life. M Design did a phenomenal job styling the venue — every corner of Mantells was transformed with dreamy, romantic touches that truly captured the Bridgerton aesthetic. Guests stepped into an atmosphere that felt straight out of a period drama — graceful, refined, and filled with joy.

Capturing the Magic

As their wedding photographer in Auckland, I was honoured to document every detail of Correy and Amelia’s day — from the intimate first look at The Pah Homestead to the grandeur of Mantells Mt Eden styled so beautifully by M Design. The laughter, the elegance, the sweeping romance — it was all a joy to capture.

Correy and Amelia’s celebration was more than just a wedding; it was a love story brought to life in the most enchanting way. It’s days like theirs that inspire me in my work as a wedding photographer in New Zealand — where every couple’s vision is unique, and every wedding becomes a timeless memory.
