Their love story began back in high school, during their final year. With a little encouragement from friends (and their music teacher, who funnily enough is now Tyrone’s boss and was also the MC at the wedding!), Georgia made the first move. Tyrone eventually asked her out on the very same day his band won a regional competition — a convenient and memorable anniversary date that would later become part of their story.
Fast forward seven years, with a puppy already part of the family, Tyrone proposed during a romantic getaway in Rotorua’s Redwood canopies. It was the perfect start to the next chapter of their journey together.
Backyard Ceremony & Le Grá Reception
The wedding began with a beautiful ceremony at Georgia’s parents’ backyard in Opaki, a setting filled with personal meaning and natural charm. After the vows, guests moved just down the road to Le Grá, where the real party kicked off. Known for its rustic yet elegant atmosphere, the venue was the perfect backdrop for a day that blended relaxed summer vibes with full-on celebration.

One of the most memorable touches of the day was the inclusion of Georgia’s family’s beloved Highland cows.
